Knox Beat Diamond Creek 19–4 in Commanding Home Victory

Knox’s U17-Div2 team delivered a dominant performance last Saturday, cruising to a 19-4 win over Diamond Creek.

From the first inning, Knox took control of the game with composed pitching, leaving little room for the visitors to gain a foothold.

The home side’s batting lineup also fired on all cylinders, racking up runs across multiple innings.

Every player contributed, with smart baserunning and clean hits putting Diamond Creek under constant pressure. The scoreboard quickly got away from the visitors who struggled to respond.

Knox coach Daniel Smith was full of praise for his team’s performance, especially their approach at the plate.

“The team hit well and with that the team supported our pitcher at the times that we needed to,” Smith said.

Despite the 15-run margin, Smith said it wasn’t the team’s most dominant win of the season.

For Diamond Creek however, it was a tough morning as they struggled on the mound and allowed Knox to extend their lead inning by inning. While they showed some glimpses of promise with a few hits late in the game, it was too little, too late

The result reinforces Knox’s strong form this season as they continue to remain at the top of the ladder. With balanced performances in both offence and defence, they look well positioned for a deep run.
