North Balwyn are through to the A-grade grand final after toppling GMBC 8-6 in the second semi-final.
But GMBC didn’t go down without a fight, pulling the scoreline back to 6-6, where it stayed locked into extra innings, before an 11th inning home run from the ladder leaders sealed the deal for the Stingers.
The other semi-final was a tight contest in which Greensborough found a way through, defeating Ringwood 3-2.
Greensborough and GMBC will now play off in this weekend’s preliminary final for a spot in the grand final.
North Balwyn coach Jeremy Young said his team will be ready for whoever they face.
“You’ve got to be aware of everyone, 1-9, they’re all great teams and you got to be at your best against all of them every time and take it as it comes,” he said.
